George Mercado also known as the “Tex Mex Cowboy”

George Mercado, Jr. (born July 19, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter with a diverse combination of genres. He attended LC Anderson High School and graduated in 1988. He takes pride in living in the Live Musical Capital of the World which has allowed him to find his own style and sound.  

He started becoming serious about music in 2016 and since then has been a part of several different bands; Broken Arrow Country Band(singer), The PLG-Praise band, and Chista Tejano Band, and therefore his arrangements from Country, Tejano, Rock and Christian music, along with his own original songs has been a rewarding experience. 

His musical career consists of songs written and released from 2019 to 2024. He signed with Hacienda International Production and released his first single in 2019, “Honey Pardon Me” following another “Amor Deseado.” In 2021 he released, “Tex Mex Cowboy” and 

“Would I Do It Again” with Goldman Records. His Independent releases were from 2023 & 2024 are, “What I’m Feeling”, “Facil Amarte” and “Honey Boy, Honey Girl.”  You can find some of his music on the musical platforms; Spotify, Pandora, and UTube.

He married his wife, Lisa Mercado, in 2022.  She has continually supported his music career, and has been an integral part of his growth. They both are blessed with children from previous marriages. 

George stated “My personal goals are to reach those through the message of my music and strive to have the kind of performance that brings joy, connection and gives people the feeling of a good time”.
